Abstract :
The paper presents a practical tool for applying distributed genetic algorithms to a large array of search and optimisation problems. The characteristics and performance of the tool in terms of efficiency and efficacy to the standard genetic algorithm are presented. The most sensitive distribution parameterisation in terms of performance is also analysed through some examples. The method uses a dynamic link library (DLL)
