Abstract
Measuring of Range of Motion-ROM of the joints of the hand play an important role in assessing both functional problems and progress of rehabilitation therapy and hand surgery. Today, there are no standardized devices allowing the physician to evaluate as quantitative, automatic and reliability hand functionality for therapy and diagnostics. We present the design and implementation of a resistive sensor that allows a reliable, repeatable and easy measurement of the joints of the hand, even in the smaller joints.
