Abstract
To compete in complex and dynamic global markets, industry today tries to meet customer demands. Therefore, the system of product development and production-the product delivery process-has to be improved continuously. This paper deals with the correlation between an organisational change process and the delivery process of a software system to support work planning on the shopfloor. From a theoretical approach, the interaction between organisational change processes and the product delivery processes of the technical systems used in the organisation are discussed. Then the participation of both members of the organisation and users is described as an appropriate method for an integrated process design. A software-based work planning system is then described, regarding the integrated design of orthogonal processes. Finally, examples of deliberately linking organisational and product delivery processes are demonstrated
