Abstract :
There is much experience with conventional PD measurements as a tool for transformer diagnostics. However it is not possible to use conventional PD measurements in the presence of large external disturbances. In due time several techniques for noise suppression have been devised. One such technique is VHF PD measurement. This paper compares detection sensitivity of conventional and VHF PD measurements
