Abstract :
This paper presents different possibilities for the design of the radiofrequency stages of a high rate digital modem. This modem is dedicated to interactive multimedia applications such as DAVIC compliant ones. The paper describes the particular case of a 1.544 Mbits/s DQPSK (Differential Quaternary Phase Shift Keying) modulation, transmitting and receiving at 8 MHz. The different designs have been simulated using functional models for the mixer device. The results have then been compared according to performance and to application fitting
