Abstract :
Experimental results on the dielectric properties of silicone fluid and water-free methanol are reported. The results are compared with the results obtained by calculations using several available formulas for calculating the dielectric constants of liquid mixtures. A new formula for the calculation of the dielectric constant based on the fundamental properties of the individual components is suggested
