Abstract
Zero-forcing (ZF), block diagonalization (BD) and signal to leakage and noise ratio (SLNR) are three well known linear precoders for multiuser MIMO broadcast systems. In this paper, we compare their signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) performance assuming that, where necessary, the users employ minimum mean square error (MMSE) receivers. A range of channel models, system layouts and feedback scenarios are considered. In all cases, it is found that SLNR provides the best performance with a complexity that is similar to BD.
