Abstract :
The author performed several biological experiments in space aboard different spacecraft and aboard a stratospheric balloon. In order to do these experiments, original automatic and semiautomatic devices were developed. They include: (1) an incubator allowing several ranges of temperature (+4, +8, +15, +25, +37, and +or-0.1 degrees C); (2) three different culture boxes; and (3) microplastic culture chambers adapted to the culture boxes. A description is presented of these devices and their characteristics.<>
