Abstract
The calibration and the evaluation of the associated uncertainty in measurement systems are essential to obtain good results. The results will be more reliable the lower the uncertainty of the measurement process is. The aim of this work is to calculate the associated uncertainties of a pressure measurement system employed to evaluate mechanical ventilators. The uncertainties were estimated using the IDEF0 model based on ISO/GUM. The minimum value for the expanded uncertainty was 0,30 cmH2O and the maximum was 0,67 cmH2O. These values are adequate for the applications of the pressure measurement system. A revision in the measurement process could result in lower values for the expanded uncertainties.
