  • Abstract
Shows the development steps that have been followed to create a support tool for maintenance and production optimisation of a car factory, based on discrete simulation. In order to develop the tool, it was necessary to build simulation model of the entire car factory. At the beginning of the paper, the logistic parameters are defined. Nowadays, these parameters are used in the car industry. Later, the followed steps in the general factory modelling process are explained. Afterwards, the model created in the project is detailed. The next point indicates how can be fulfilled a general factory analysis with a simulation model. Finally, an example is described and experimental results are showed
