Abstract :
Delta front is distinguished in the Sha19 block, third member of the Funing formation in Shanian oilfield, according to guidelines defined by Mcpherson and others. Four major depositional microfacies are identified consisting of distributary channel, interdistributary bay, mouth bar and sand sheet. The architecture of the reservoir, governed by the facies geometry, is a major source of heterogeneity in clastic systems. Facies distribution, however, are at present mainly implemented as deterministic 2-D maps in reservoir models. Two-dimensional maps are an oversimplified way of representing the complex spatial structure of the distribution of facies. Therefore, three-dimensional facies models were built in study area. The models honour all available case-specific dasiahardpsila data as well as dasiasoftpsila data and it is calculated with sequential indicator simulation, which is an important stochastic geostatistical method. At the same time, the model should be checked up by geological experiences and judgment.
