Abstract
The use of radioactive isotopes coupled with the relevant nuclear medical instrumentation systems are invaluable in medical diagnostic, therapeutic and bioanalytical applications. Many of these are simple, easy to operate and work trouble free for 10-15 years. These are moderately priced and are ideally suited for the developing nations. The use of these techniques in India is discussed. Radioisotopes, training courses, and programs regarding safety aspects and relevant instrumentation are available.<>
