Abstract
We developed a software called the “logo pad” with which users can “seal” multimedia contents with the maximum number to distribute. Those contents “sealed” with the “logo pad” are called the “Internet seal”. This software prevents an unlimited distribution and copying of contents by allowing them to function only on the PCs they are downloaded. In this manner “sealed” digital contents become more valuable because of their scarceness. In addition, its server program examines how many copies are distributed, and who downloaded and owns them. With this software, homepage owners, particularly corporations, can use “sealed” contents or the “Internet seals” as a marketing promotion tool for products and services on their homepages or a digital gift to customers for replying online questionnaires in public relations research. Furthermore, the software enables a new communication site where Internet surfers can get and exchange scarcely “sealed” contents for collection
