Abstract
Combined microstrip radiators as unit cell of flat reflectarray antenna are represent combination of microstrip radiators located in aperture plane of reflectarray (transversal radiate elements) and also radiators vertically-oriented to this plane (longitudinal radiate elements). Advantage of the combined radiators in front of usual microstrip antennas is considerably. Firstly, using in aggregate transversal and longitudinal microstrip elements of the various form enable to reduce the dimensions of reradiators, that in turn allows to reduce distance between microstrip elements. It leads to miniaturization and to reduction in cost of all antenna system integrally. Also it allows to carry out scanning by radiation pattern in the expanded angular domain. Besides combined microstrip radiators without substrates satisfy to broadband response criterion it distinguishes them from microstrip antennas. Combined microstrip reradiators represent the significant interest for research and their use as elements of flat reflectarray antenna with the improved characteristics.
