Abstract
A method based on parametric filters for dynamic amplitude and timbre-change in musical instrument sound synthesis is presented. The filter coefficients are determined by analysis of an instrument recording. Results show better qualitative performance than single-tone variable-amplification and two-tone crossfading wavetable synthesis
