Abstract :
Basic issues concerning user-supportive man-machine interfaces for multimedia medical information systems are discussed. The desirable components of such interfaces are identified and discussed, namely a definition environment, a navigation environment, a querying environment, an information presentation environment, and a supporting environment.<>
