Abstract :
A software package for stereo vision mainly applied in civil engineering, biological medicine, aerospace engineering, and also in autonomously visual navigation, scene understanding has been developed by the Institute of Information Science at Northern Jiaotong University. This software package produces 3-D surface data and analyzes the structural information of the scene when the input image is obtained by a pair of CCD cameras. We present the following key aspects: (1) the configuration of the software package; (2) epipolar images generation; (3) the matching strategy in the software package; (4) visualization of the 3-D data; (5) experiment and conclusion
