  • Abstract
After twenty-five years of study on Saturn electrostatic discharges (SED) with the aid of spacecrafts (Voyager I, II, Cassini) the first successful ground-based observations with radio telescopes UTR-2 were carried out. The result was unambiguous registration of 70 events by ground-based instrument during the storm E, which lasted about a month in January-February 2006. This work presents the observation results of Saturn Electrostatic Discharges at UTR-2 radio telescope, comparison with the detected SEDs on Cassini spacecraft, correlation functions obtained and time coincidence of individual and integral SED of ground-based and space observations. We also analyze the behavior of the SED in the start period of the storm F.
