Abstract
In this paper, a progressive hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) scheme on degree distribution for irregular low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes is proposed. In this scheme, lower degree nodes are retransmitted. During the process of choosing nodes for retransmission, not only degree distribution but also unequal error protection (UEP) property and iterative decoding process of irregular LDPC codes are considered. Compared with initial Degree Distribution Based HARQ (DDB-HARQ), the proposed scheme has better performance.
