  • Abstract
Observation of an object through a medium with random refraction index inhomogeneities is an important problem of practical research. The problem is particularly critical in the case of optical range observations of an object through the atmosphere with its typical refraction index inhomogeneities that are chiefly produced by air temperature fluctuations. To find an effective technique of an object image reconstruction under the sequence of its instantaneous images distorted by the random atmosphere kernel we ought to proceed from the conception of optimal spatial temporal accumulation of an astronomical image. Preference of the certain method that is optimal for this problem depends on different conditions. But the statistics of signal, statistics of noise and other a priori information of signal and noise play the dominant part. To examine an effectiveness of proposed signal accumulation method a series of experiments on processing of image sequence generated by computer and corresponding to a sequence that may be obtained during real observations using telescope under different seeing conditions. In the current report we suppose that the phase distortions field is represented by stationary Gaussian process. This hypothesis is confirmed by the results of analysis of phase distortions field formation mechanism during night observations taking into account thermal conductivity of an air.
