Abstract :
Video signal simulation including echo of moving targets is important in the development of algorithm and software of radar signal processing, especially moving target tracking algorithm. The commonly used methods of simulating radar moving targets can generate targets whose moving pattern are well controlled but the shape and the fluctuation pattern of the echo signals generated by computer software are far from the real ones. To generate moving target video echo signals looks like the actual radar video signals of real target, we present a radar moving target video simulation method based on recorded radar video signals which include real but stationary targets. The idea is to use the real radar echo of the stationary targets recorded in each frame of the radar video to generate, moving target according to the moving pattern set by the user. If the moving target encounters some other targets in front of or close to it, collision avoidance method is also discussed.
