Abstract
We consider the waveforms of signals received in the sidelobe region of antenna, when the signals are of very short duration. It is shown that the output signal waveforms can be very different from those of the input signal. An analytical theory is presented to explain these effects, and several examples are presented to illustrate the effects and to show the validity of the analysis. A number of applications are suggested.
