Abstract :
This paper is devoted to the experimental study of dielectric withstand of gas-insulated transmission lines (GIL) filled with SF6 /nitrogen mixtures. A typical gas-insulated busbar including conical spacers is tested under lightning impulse. Results show that equivalence can be demonstrated between pure SF6 and mixtures with respect to the total pressure and the rate of SF6
