Abstract :
In order to clarify the relationship between the corona stabilization effect and the partial discharge (PD) generation mechanism in SF6 gas, the authors investigated the sequential generation characteristics of PD pulses with high speed measurement enough to distinguish the individual PD. From the experimental results, they discussed the relationship between PD charge and time interval of subsequent PD pulses. Consequently, they revealed that these two factors were much closely involved with the space charge behavior and the time dependent corona stabilization effect
