Abstract :
This article develops a brand-new dynamic framework of e-commerce business models. Firstly the authors generalize three basic business modes based upon longitudinal perspective to business operations. Then, three strategic benefits of e-business were drawn out from many acknowledged studies. Finally, using two dimensions---Business Mode and Effect of Electronization, the authors identified seven basic e-commerce business models and revealed the way they may evolve along in a new dynamic framework. This is the key contribution of this article. By referring to the features of each E-commerce business model, a company can identify its position in the framework and find the right way to go further in choosing e-business models.
