Abstract :
Texture is modeled as narrow-band patterns, which are distinguished by a high concentration of localized spatial frequencies. We discuss the spatial-frequency local features. By the choice of parameters we attain a set of Gabor (1946) filters, the center frequencies, bandwidths and orientations of which can be controlled, and used for texture segmentation. The experimental results show that this method is effective
