Abstract
The counter-rotating fan is an important part in the mine shaft´s ventilating system, it is necessary to grasp its operating performance accurately. Taking a FBCDZNO14 extraction type mining counter-rotating fan as an example, a 3D whole machine model is set up, the 3D steady constant flow field is calculated by using the finite volume method (FVM) based on the principle of computational fluid dynamics (CFD). The comparisons of the simulated results with test data are proposed to verify the correctness of the numerical simulation method. This method provides a theoretical basis for optimization design by analyzing the performance of a counter-rotating fan, at the same time, the feasibility of improving the counter-rotating fan´s operation efficiency through the method of changing blade incidence is verified.
