  • Abstract
    Single-phase shunt active power filter (APF) is able to compensate harmonics in grid. This paper uses PSCAD/EMTDC to build a simulation model of system based on single-phase shunt APF with one-cycle control under bipolar modulation. In the meantime, it simulates compensation performance for system. Single-phase APF is designed and tested on the basis of simulation. The simulation and experimental results show APF has a good application prospect because it can sufficiently compensate for grid, control circuit has simple structure and dynamic characteristic is fine.
