Abstract :
Currently, the need for information retrieval systems that provide relevant information for specific users is emerging. However, the information retrieval systems of today are rather weak in the respect of reflecting the user´s preferences and offering relevant ranked documents. Thus, we propose a method for filtering and document ranking using a user profile and latent structure analysis in order to provide more relevant results that are ordered by relevance. The user profile reflects the preferences of the specific user. We explain our method with examples
