Abstract :
In this work we describe the application of the hyper-Rayleigh scattering technique (HRS) and the Z-scan technique to determine /spl beta/ and /spl gamma/, the first and the second hyperpolarizabilities, respectively, of nine different mesoionic structures. The mesoionic samples were synthesized and dissolved in DMSO.
