Abstract :
In this paper we introduced a hybrid interference cancellation scheme combining parallel interference cancellation (PIC) and successive interference cancellation (SIC). The proposed hybrid interference cancellation has been compared with existing PIC, SIC and other hybrid cancellation schemes. The performance criteria used for comparison are complexity, delay and average bit error rate (BER) performance in the Rayleigh-fading channel (Jake´s model) with additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN). The proposed hybrid interference cancellation scheme provided a reduction of the delay time by a half compared with SIC and that of the complexity by a quarter compared with PIC
