Abstract
Summary form only given. Semiconductor laser pumped optical parametric oscillators (OPOs) represent compact, tunable radiation sources with many potential applications. The results presented here represent, to our knowledge, the first reported example of a nondegenerate diode-pumped periodically poled lithium niobate (PPLN) optical parmetric oscillator (OPO) and the first reported PPLN OPO diode pumped in the 800-nm spectral region. The pump source used was an injection locked broad-area diode laser.
