Abstract :
We have shown that the effect of radiation spot-size widening due to non-perfect phase conjugation of a laser beam after reflection from a stimulated Brillouin scattering-mirror (SBS-mirror) should be taken into account when calculating lasers with a saturable absorber and the SBS-cell. It has to be remarked that the model is valid only for evaluating integral output parameters (output energy and pulse duration).
