Abstract :
Summary form only given. Continuous-wave singly resonant optical parametric oscillators (SROs) based on periodically poled lithium niobate (PPLN) are attractive sources of widely tunable radiation. Output powers of several watts and tuning over the IR spectral range has been achieved with a multiaxial Nd:YAG pump laser. More recently, single frequency operation of PPLN SROs has been shown using single-frequency Nd:YAG lasers and enhancing the pump power resonantly. In this work, we report long-term stable single frequency emission over the IR spectral region and demonstrate the applicability of our source to molecular spectroscopy experiments.
