Abstract
Recent developments in the design, analysis, and fabrication of microring resonators for waveguide-based photonics applications are summarized, with emphasis on the applications of microrings for controlling the waveguide dispersion for filtering applications. The concept of mode cycling in a coupled polymeric microring resonator interferometer is discussed and demonstrated.
