Abstract
This paper reports a development to perform microstrip rectenna (rectifying antenna) microwave-DC conversion of high-efficiency for wireless power transmission centering on 2.45 GHz. A 20×20 array rectenna system for fundamental wireless power transmission is considered for the development. We combined several array rectennas in series and parallel in a modular way so that microwave-DC conversion efficiency could be superior. In experiments, the conversion efficiency of a unit rectenna was 75.6% and the entire efficiency from transmitter to receiver of wireless power transmission system was about 33%
