  • Abstract
To switch load duration curve and to decrease demand charge, a 20000 BTU ice storage air conditioning system used for room size 4×4 m2 is designed and constructed. Working time of ice storage system is divided into 2 processes. The first process is freeze mode, ice on coil, which is only produced by R22. This process takes approximately 11 hours, from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. The other cooling mode brings ice storage energy in an ice storage tank for use in an air conditioning system. This process is made up of a glycol system and water system, which can provide air conditioning within business hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.. As a result the electrical load chart is changed. The mini ice storage system is useful both for the conservation of energy and the reduction of monthly electricity payment
