Abstract :
Sustainability being the catch word of the day and need of the hour, there is dearth of adequate models to quantify sustainability. Therefore, a general model is developed and with a case analysis the quantifying procedure for sustainability measure has been depicted in this paper. The case is based on Blood bag manufacturing and distribution with respect to industries in Kerala. An MILP model is developed and solved using LINGO 11. The decision maker can use this model for choosing the interacting elements in a supply chain to attain the desired green target based on sustainability index.
