Abstract :
Summary form only given. With a Ross filter spectrometer, the experiment of measuring soft X-ray energy spectrum produced by Z-pinch plasma has been performed. The Z-pinch device is powered by a capacitor bank of 16 /spl mu/F charged to a voltage of 23 kV. The discharge current reaches its peak value of 210 kA with a risetime of 2.4 /spl mu/s. Neon used as working gas is injected into the discharge chamber with a supersonic nozzle. The spectrometer, in the spectral range from 0.1 keV/spl sim/1.5 keV, includes a Ross filter system, 10 X-ray diodes, and electric measurement units. In this paper, the experimental results are presented; the errors of measured spectrum intensity are analyzed and estimated.
