Abstract

Lack of visibility in a supply chain will cause the uncertainty of demand. Usually, the suppliers at upstream always carry much higher inventory level than the actual demand. However, the strategy of CPFR provides a way to reduce the huge loss led by bullwhip effect by scientifically forecasting the customer´s demand and reasonably replenishing the inventory. This paper discusses the way to realize CPFR by demand forecast with time series analysis and push/pull integrated inventory management system, and brings out a demand forecast and pre-alarm integrated quick response warehousing system design in the end.
