Abstract :
Web based learning has grown particularly rapidly in the area of virtual experiment, while automatic marking of virtual experiment is still difficult. One reason is the semantic rule used in marking of virtual experiment. The other is the bottleneck of performance when used by a large amount of user. This paper proposes a complete solution for automatic marking of virtual experiment based on rules engine firstly. Then a cloud service for the automatic marking of virtual experiment is introduced. A formal model based on set theory is introduced to specify virtual experiment. An XML based description for virtual experiment is presented according to the formal model. A simple method for rules extraction is then provided and the reasoning process for automatic marking is illustrated. Finally, an application case in Circuit Analysis is presented and it validates the solution.
