  • Abstract
Adaptive beam forming antenna, which is adopted in TDD HSDPA system, has been proved to be an effective way to improve the system performance. In the realistic system, however, the high correlation of the multi-path signal will cause the estimation of direction of arrival (DOA) angles arriving at the antenna arrays to be imprecise, so the beam forming will be imperfect. And the system performance will be deteriorated owing to the imperfection. In this paper, the evaluation of round robin (RR), proportional fairness (PF), and maximum carrier to interference ratio (Max C/I) algorithms in three channel conditions will be studied with the imperfect adaptive beam forming antenna in the TDD HSDPA system. Finally, the authors give an analysis of the results, and the error DOA estimation threshold angles of different algorithms were presented.
