  • Abstract
We perform ray tracing simulations to estimate system parameters for indoor THz communication links with special emphasis on the antenna gain required for a reliable signal reception. Our simulations model a typical indoor scenario. Crucial parameters are the reflection coefficients of common indoor materials. These parameters have been determined experimentally. Our simulations show that high gain antennas will be needed for the realisation of THz links in indoor environments. We present preliminary simulations which aim to determine the performance of patch antenna arrays in the THz range. We also demonstrate that dielectric mirrors which cover parts of the walls significantly enhance the signal coverage in a typical indoor scenario
