Abstract
We demonstrate a low-cost shared seed light for WDM-PON OLTs. Sixteen WDM-PONs can share the centrally located pre-spectrum sliced seed light (PS-SL), which reused spectrum sliced backward ASE light. Bidirectional 1.25-Gb/s data services using R-SOA transmitters are demonstrated over 20 km.
