Abstract
The author describes how, based upon the EDI platform developed over a decade ago in industries such as manufacturing, retail, banking and government agencies, Mexico is participating actively in e-commerce practice. The awareness of the importance of this new business model led to the adjustment of the legal environment, and the former commerce law was reformed introducing a national definition of e-commerce which provides the legal boundaries and scope of influence of these acts of commerce
