  • Abstract
    Parabolic trough is the most proven solar thermal electric technology. It uses the idea of concentrated solar power. The present day parabolic trough has some deficiencies too. This paper introduces the idea of green house effect to increase the efficiency of the parabolic solar trough. By enclosing the upper surface or open surface by a glass vacuum chamber to decrease the convective heat loss. This design can go a long way to decrease the heat loss & increase the efficiency of the parabolic trough.
