Abstract :
No one has a suspicion that China is a world textile big country, but people have a fuzzy know which are the textile big provinces and textile strong provinces in China. Therefore, studying the development mode of regional textile industry in China is of very important significance for continuously driving the sustainable development of China´s textile industry. Under the background, the paper quantificationally analyzed the regional development characteristics of China´s textile industry, namely the ladderlike development mode from the east to west and a wide gap between the competiveness of the east and mid-west region, and pointed out the textile strong provinces in China are only a few provinces while the two-third provinces are textile weak provinces. Thus, the task of changing China from world textile big country into world textile strong country is still a very arduous task.
