Abstract :
This paper studies the robustness under high overloads of an extension of the Virtual Partitioning (VP) admission policy in multiservice cellular networks that carry streaming and elastic traffic. The VP policy is compared with the Multiple Fractional Guard Channel (MFGC) policy. The main contributions of the paper are the study of a new design method and the integration of streaming and elastic traffic.
