  • Abstract
Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) is a promising technology to enhance capacity and robustness of the link by the presence of multiple transmit antennas and multiple receive antennas in the communication link. The use of multiple antennas at both ends of a wireless link promises significant improvements in terms of spectral efficiency and link reliability. The HF system adopted MIMO and OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) will improve the quality of HF communications. Among coding approach in MIMO system, the ability of combating fading of STBC is better than that of LSTC, the spectrum and the code rate of LSTC is higher than that of STBC, L-STBC is a coding approach combining STBC and LSTC. In this paper, L-STBC-OFDM system scheme was proposed and simulation was done in HF channel. The result confirmed that the performance of combating fading of L-STBC-OFDM system is better than that of LSTC-OFDM system and the performance of transmitting is better than that of STBC-OFDM system.
