Abstract :
This paper investigates the achievable sum rate of Rayleigh product MIMO channels with linear MMSE receiver. Exact closed-form expressions are derived, which provide an efficient means to evaluate the achievable sum rate of the system with arbitrary number of antennas and scatters. In addition, simple expressions were obtained for the key parameters dictating the sum rate performance of the system at the high and low signal to noise ratio regime, which enables us to gain insights on how system parameters such as the number of scatters affect the achievable sum rate of the system. Our analytical results confirm the intuition that increasing the number of scatters improves the achievable sum rate of the system.
